Seasonal Tips

A must for the Homeowner. This item should usually be checked before the rainy season but with Florida having a great amount of trees around homes and having cleared quite a few gutters this past season, its safe to say it would be worth your time to grab a ladder and check all your gutters. If you find debris

grab some gloves and remove the large debris by hand and then either bring a hose up to flush the remainder of the debris down or a vacuum up and remove the remaining debris.

If this sounds like a task you would rather not tackle, do not hesitate to give us a call!!

Since irrigation is a necessity year-round here in South Florida, it is best to keep your irrigation system maintained properly. If you take care of your own sprinkler system, try and test your system every 3 months to assure your system is working optimally. If you find that when you test the system there are sprinklers that are not performing properly, mark the sprinkler location, shut the system off, and remove the body and/or head and clean in a bucket of water.

Once you

have cleaned

it thoroughly,

reinstall it and

run the

system again.

Hopefully you took care of the problem,

if not give us a call to come out and give you a hand getting your system back up and running!!

Take a look at your outside A/C unit, otherwise known as your condensing unit. The pictures below show the difference between a well insulated pressure line and a line thats insulation has deteriorated over the years.

By replacing the insulation on your (chilled) compressor line, your able to save approximately 1-3% on your cooling costs. Not a great savings but if you have 2 or more units running throughout the summer it can make a difference on your electric bill.
